No less than four exciting looking applications for Grant Funding were received in the applications window ending 31st December 2016. After review by the Charity’s Trustees and our Scientific Advisor – they were submitted for Peer Review.
Three proposals were approved for funding as follows:
Developing information to help kidney doctors support patients making choices about conservative management – Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust
Blocking BK virus entry as a strategy to prevent kidney transplant rejection – University of Leeds
The Origins and Development of Computing and Information Technology (IT) in Kidney Medicine 1979-1999 – British Renal Computing Group
APPLYING FOR A GRANT FROM KIDNEY RESEARCH YORKSHIRE
The charity invites applications for grants in renal research to be carried out in universities and hospitals across Yorkshire and the Humber. Most grants are awarded for up to three years though these can be extended to support the next stage in the research process.
Applications must be submitted in the correct format are then reviewed to ensure that the research criteria are being met. Applications are then peer reviewed to ensure that the project is worthy of support.
PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU DOWNLOAD THE APPLICATION FORM FROM THIS SITE. PREVIOUS PAPER VERSIONS OF THE APPLICATION FORM CANNOT BE ACCEPTED.
The Charity will accept applications for grant funding during two three month periods each year. These are 1st April to 30th June and 1st October to 31st December in any year. Applications received outside these periods will be returned to the applicant.
