Working in Yorkshire to help beat kidney disease.

Kidney disease is a silent killer. Over three million people in the UK are suffering from it right now. An estimated one million don’t even know they have it and there is no cure.

Who we are

For over 50 years, Kidney Research Yorkshire has been supporting vital research into kidney disease and working to raise awareness about its’ risk factors. Our aims are to improve the quality of life of those affected, save lives and – one day – be part of finding a cure for this cruel disease. With health trends and an ageing population, the likelihood of kidney disease striking you becomes ever greater, so our work is more essential now than ever.

Be part of our future and help us to fight kidney disease. With your support we will be able to achieve our goals to make Yorkshire a hub of research to help save and improve the lives of kidney disease patients around the world

Approximately 3,000 kidney transplants take place every year in the UK, but around 5,000 people are still waiting.
